We'll be restarting the group on Thursday 14 September 2006, 1-3pm. We meet above the Nunnery Suite at the Handsworth Parish Centre. Please join us if you would like to learn knitting, embroidery, patchwork, tatting, crochet, etc. If you just want to sit and chat and have a good laugh that's fine, it costs the same, the humour is free!!!
We charge £1 per session to help pay for the room and 20p for tea/coffee. At the moment we are making squares for Charity Water Aid. It is called Knit-a-River. If you have any yarn in any shade of blue, any ply however small the ball, we would be very grateful for it please. It will help this worthy cause to bring drinking water to the children of our world.
September News We've had a very poor start after the holidays due to illness. It was nice to see Tricia back after her op and also Mo after her husband's serious op. Doreen has had a spell in hospital and may not be able to come in the future cos of the stairs. Our love and best wishes go to her. We are however pressing on with goodies for our stall on 2nd Dec at the Methodist Church. We need the money!!! It's still a happy time together in the group, spirits are good, (not out of a bottle).
