We've recently updated the Sons of the Desert Newsletters part of the Web site, the latest edition being Septober 2008. The information is provided monthly by Grand Sheik John Burton, chair of the Brats Tent of Sheffield. Meetings are held at Handsworth's New Crown Inn commencing at 7:30pm on the second Monday of every month - the Septober meeting is tomorrow night. See Sons of the Desert for more datails.
For the uninitiated, "Septober" is what Laurel and Hardy (or probably Stan) called "September". Also, October was called "Octember", and November was called "Nowonder". There are other mispronunciations in the films, for example anniversaries were referred to as "universities". Knowing such things will help you to understand the Sons of the Desert Newsletters on the site!
