The all clear siren sounding at the infant's school, don't know why it did though in 1954. Going to Saturday morning cinema at the Plaza. Playing on the "rec" and going to the fair every year when it came in August. I remember the Last Tram coming to Handsworth. I still have the souvenir tram pin brooch. Left Handsworth to go to live in Darnall for 10 years but married David Michie from Darnall in 1969 and returned to live in Flockton Avenue until we emigrated to Melbourne In October 1980.
