Remembers (places):
The opening of the Plaza Cinema, St Joseph's School children, Having two Classrooms in my home during the 1939 emergency, dancing several nights a week in St J's, the Queen Mother passing through Handsworth, the last tram. The most eventful event was the bomb that was dropped in a half circle of emergency ambulances in the Council school yard & not one of them was damaged nor any of us standing behind them, but the houses across St Joseph's Road were knocked about a bit.
