Playing in Handsworth woods as children - before the Parsley Hay estate was built. Riding motorcycles on the old mine site - fondly known as "Mount Betsy". Visiting Nuttall's Scrapyard as a kid. Delivering papers for about 3 years for Lee's Newsagents, when I should have had the sense to stay in bed!

Great to hear about a dedicated Handsworth site - the internet certainly makes the world small!.....been away for 20 years, after spending the first 19 years of my life at 278 Handsworth Road.....missing it big-time at the moment! Will be a regular visitor for sure!!
