Teachers:- Miss Clapham, Miss Reiley, Miss Baggs, Miss Coultish(Mrs O'Hara), Miss Higgins (who also taught my father), Mr Snell (who taught us algebra after doing 11+) & Miss Hinkins the headteacher. The Carlisle family Gordon, Jean, Barbara & Susan who also lived on Handsworth Road. Val who still lives locally - how many times we walked to Woodhouse & back on a Sunday afternoon! A truly good friend when I needed one.

Remembers (places):
Gathering blue bells in the woods, the pit ponies, the Whitsun parade in High Hazels park & the boating lake. A quarter of cherry lips from Cousins shop on the Triangle, doing a paper round from the newsagents at the Clifton shops. Sutherlands potted meat factory, the White Rose pub & Rotherhams the grocers. Learning to twist at the Plaza Saturday children's picture show & Telstar being played at the end. Having a vimto at Hughes' shop at Handsworth - so many good memories that this site has brought to mind.
